Medications

I have always had this thing about putting antibiotics and medications into my body. When I had children this got even worse. I hate for them to be antibiotics unless it completely necessary. Since Brady has gotten sick 2 weeks ago I feel like his body is pumped full of medications! He is on Xopenex for his breathing and cough, Pulmicort for his asthma, Augmentin for his ear infection, Prilosec for his GERD, and because he has been cutting teeth #3 and 4 Tylenol!

I feel awful! I just wish he would get better!

Eric took him for a recheck today and he weighs in at 18lbs and 1 oz. He is 28 inches long. When Morgin was 6 months old she weighed only 16 lbs and 8 oz. He has a few pounds on her! But he has only gained an ounce since 2 weeks ago! While he was there he was put on another medication.....Singulair for his allergies!! This poor child! JUST GET BETTER BRADY!!!!

6 Month Photo Shoot!

In between rolls!

Yummy Paper

Beautiful smile!!

My handsome boy!

Boy it gets harder to get a good picture as they get older! We had to ditch the traditional paper with the month labeled because he just wanted to eat the paper!

Happy 6 Month Birthday Brady!!!!

(I will add the traditional 6 month picture when I get home from school)

I can hardly believe that 6 months ago today was the day our son entered the world. That day was the one of the greatest days of my life. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday he was born and other times it seems like he has always been here. He fits in so well with our family and is truly a blessing.

This past month has been interesting. Brady is now mobile. He does a combination army crawl/roll to get to where he wants to go. One day, I set him in the middle of the living room and went to the bathroom and had rolled/crawled to the door in between the playroom and living room and was laughing hysterically at himself. Morgin and I laughed so hard at him laughing at himself. He has become a pro at sitting up on his own. He has started to pull himself into a sitting position from a laying (with help from us sometimes). He is eating three meals a day now. He also has started to grab puffs on his highchair tray and tries to put them in his mouth. No new teeth for Brady this month. He still just has the two. Brady has started giving kisses. It is so sweet. He pulls you in and gives you an open mouth slobbery kiss, which we all love! He has become a fantastic sleeper. sleeping in his crib in the morning and the afternoon. He sleeps from 7:30-8pm until around 6:30-7 every morning. He has the greatest smile that brights up the room.

Happy 6 month birthday Brady! We love you!!!!

My Class

The past 2 years I have taken on the task of ty-dying with my students. Last year we did purple shirt and they turned out ok. This year I was going to do red but when I went to Walmart to pick up the dye they were all out. With two kids all by myself going to another store was not an option! So I decided that I would get orange. I am soooo glad that I did! The shirts turned out amazingly and all I had to do was look and I was able to spot one of my students during our field days today.

Thank you

I have had a year of ups and downs at school and in my personal life. In just 8 more days school will be over and I have decided that I am going to ENJOY my summer and let things roll off my back. I really need time with the kids and with my husband. I need a sense of normalcy. I need people around me and I don't want to isolate myself anymore. I am ready for play dates, girls nights, couple nights, date nights, not showering until I need to and MOST of all my kids.
So thank you for everyone that has stood by me in the past year and I appreciate every single one of you.
Bring on the fun!!!!

Whatever Works

On Sunday, Brady was a bit cranky and the only thing that would calm him down was watching cars drive by. (such a boy!) I had gotten sick of holding him and just wanted to go to the bathroom and clean up Morgin's mess, so I put him in the stroller and stuck him in the window to watch the cars go by. It worked! He was quiet just long enough for me to do some laundry and vacuum. It was perfect!

Prayer Request

A kindergarten student in my building was in that awful accident on Arsenal Street on Friday night. She is Syracuse hospital and it does not look good. She had Multiple skull fractures and due to that they had to remove a portion of her brain. Her baby sister was unharmed, but her mother is also in the hospital with a broken leg, and spinal injuries. Her father is Afghanistan and on his was home as we speak.

Juliana we have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers!

The Girls!!

Every year the fertility doctor that we went to holds an event at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse. They shut down the zoo and only patients (new and old) can attend. They have clowns, magicians, face painting and a BBQ. Last year I RSVP'ed to go but when we were getting ready to go, I was so sick to stomach because I was newly pregnant and I couldn't face an hour car ride so we decided to skip it. Last year we vowed to go..no matter what! We met up with a guy that was in our wedding and his wife and daughter and also with another friend and her family. We had a BLAST!!! Morgin and Lucy were inseparable the whole time. It has been since April that we had seen her that they both had missed each other. I finally got to meet Mariana, and she is even more beautiful than in her pictures. Jason and Eric got a chance to catch up and so did Gretchen and I!! It was sooo much fun! Morgin danced her shoes off while we were waiting in line to get her face painted, it was sooo cute! I can't wait to go back again next year!

now on to the ......

Chiropractor. I am trying anything to get some relief for my achy back! I am in constant pain and just wish it would all just go away!
The chiropractor did a great job, I love the way it feels to have my back cracked, no excuse me aligned! I get nervous when he does my neck but it feels a lot better afterwards! I have another appointment next week, lets hope it works!

OHHHH MY GOD!!!

It is no secret that ever since Brady was born my back has been killing me. I have been complaining for a very long time-so Eric surprised me with my first massage this afternoon. It was AMAZING!!!! My back feels sore but i am sure that it will all be worth it in the end. I was so relaxed and it felt good to just lay there and listen to music!
So I think that we may be in trouble because I could definitely go for a massage like once a month or something! I usually do not like people touching me- but this was sooooo worth it!
We are headed to Thatcher's First Birthday Party-whoooohoooooo!!!

Doors

My mom has always told me that sometimes doors close and you don't know why, but when one door closes a new door opens and it is usually for the better. In my life recently many doors have closed and I was very hurt by all of them closing. I was beginning to wonder if that statement that my mom says was true. I can see now that the longer you wait good things will come back around to you. My life has been filled with ups and down and these past 2 months have been a definite down for me. People are not always what they appear to be. Now, I am starting to feel better and am learning that good things will come to people that are patient. A new door has opened and I am so thankful for this new door as it has pulled me out of my depression and brought me back to me and made me realize that I need to hold my head up high and not worry about what other people think.

She's a Natural!

Morgin went horse back riding with my Mom and her boyfriend. She was a natural! She was hugging the horse with her knees, was sitting straight on the straddle! Maybe this was something we should pursue with her? She had a BLAST! It was all that she could talk about!
