Too Cute not to Share

Morgin left an oreo on the table and I come into the livingroom and see Brady hiding by the chair with the evidence all over his face! Sorry the pic is not the best quality...I just quickly whipped my cell phone out to capture him!

Finally!!!!

The old Floor
(The white lines were not there...Eric had to sand down the old seams so the new floor would lay flat)

I LOVE IT!!!

After only 5 years of saying that we were going to replace the kitchen floor...it is finally DONE! It looks AMAZING! I am so proud of my husband..he did such a good job! Now we are wondering..hmmmmmmm What else can we do to the house?? My vote...paint the hallway up the stairs and in the hallway upstairs!

First Time on Ice Skates

Today we went to one of Morgin's friends birthday party and it was an ice skating party! I was bit nervous myself of getting on skates after all of these years and to try and help my baby girl along too was getting the best of me! But I learned that skating is a lot like riding a bike...it's not something that you forget! Morgin had a rough start at ice skating! We couldn't find a walker for her so I thought I would just try it without...well Morgin had no part of that! She fell like 100 times and started crying. So I skated her to the side and sat down and waited for a walker. The poor kid was crying so hard and I really felt strong that she was not going to let that get the best of her! Finally a kid let go of 1 for a brief second and I snatched it up! Morgin came out with me and after a little bit she was laughing and having fun and then would not let the walker up to give someone else a turn! She later told me that she loved skating and that she wanted to go again tomorrow! I will post pics when my school email starts working again!

Daddy and Brady's Snowman!

This morning, we geared the kids up and headed over to Thompson Park to go sledding. At first Brady was a bit apprehensive of his sled but after awhile he warmed up. It was a fun day! Morgin's legs were tired and she went right to bed tonight with so much as a peep! I am so glad that I have a wonderful family who enjoys spending time together!

Allergy Testing!

While we were in the room waiting for the doctor Brady fell asleep
His back!

Today we took Brady to the allergist. He had a skin test done and a scratch test done. He was a trooper. The appointment was at 830 and we didn't leave until 11:30! It was along day for our little guy! The results are that he is not allergic to environmental things such as ragweed, pollen, cats, dogs, horses, mold. He is however allergic to dairy...not so much the milk but the protein that is in the milk and cheese. It was a huge relief for us but did not tell us anything else that we already didn't know! We are hoping that when he goes to the Pediatric Pulmonologist in March that we will get more answers!

Brady even got to play!

Tuesday, We headed to Rochester to the Strong Museum of Play. We got there at about 10:30 and never left until 3:30. It was so much fun! There was so much to see and do! Morgin and Brady had a great time! Morgin played and played and played! Brady was exhausted by the time we left that he fell right asleep in the car! Morgin loved the Barbie exhibit (and so did I)! Brady loved watching people and his sister and was such a good boy! He just went with the flow and never gave us a fuss. Morgin loved it and informed me today that she wants to go back tomorrow!
After we left the museum we headed to Eric's jail and out to eat for dinner. Then we went to the hotel and both kids fell right asleep and were perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better get away with the people that mean the most to me! It shows me how truly lucky I am to have 2 wonderful children!

Five Points

Let me start by saying that this post will not have any pictures even though I REALLY wanted to take some...it would be highly illegal and Eric could lose his job so I will just tell you about one of my favorite parts of our night away from home.

Yesterday, we went to Rochester to the Museum of Play (Pics and post to come soon!) After the day there we decided that we would drive back to Eric's prison. He has been a Corrections Officer for almost 6 years and I have never seen where he works! He drove us to the area of his prison and I thought that we would just be able to see the front of the building and then leave...but as we pulled up he pulled out his cell phone and asked the Sargent on duty for permission to drive the perimeter of the prison and permission was granted. We were followed by a CO in a perimeter truck (There are certain CO's that drive around for their entire shift around the outside of the jail.) It was AMAZING!! and looks nothing like you would see on Lock-Up; Extended Stay! We could see inmates in the rec pens (Little 5x10 fenced in areas off the back of the cells) The main yard was HUMONGOUS and has me a little worried about Eric when he is out there!

It was a pretty neat experience and now when he comes home and talks about things (on the outside of the prison) I can picture what he is talking about! This reaffirmed for me that I COULD NEVER BE A CORRECTIONS OFFICER! and that I am SO PROUD OF ERIC for the job he does!
