GB Days 09

Waiting for the Parade to start!

She sure does LOVE a good parade!

The dragon ride

On the cars!

It's like if you went to General Brown you have to go to GB Days-It's like a unwritten rule! Well, we went! We always head out Saturday morning and check out garage sales, which we never buy anything from. Then we come home and do lunch and naps and then head back out to do the rides and of course the parade! Every year I start to get mad at the teenagers with their stupid silly string. They seriously spray silly string everywhere! I would hate to live on Brown Blvd. during this weekend. My yard would be covered in silly string! Anyway, I have to step back and think that 15 years ago that it was me doing that-so how can I technically get mad? I can't! It's a rite of passage for GB teenagers! (It still bothers me though) It was a great night. We ran into some friends and stood by them through the parade so that was nice!

How we spent Monday

Brady swinging!

Daddy and Bradster!

Morgin loved this thing!

Daddy and Morgin
We went to Carthage on Monday to meet up with Mike and Lynn. We decided that we would walk to the playground down the street from Mike's mom house. This playground was fantastic! Morgin was able to play on almost everything. Her and Kaedin had a ball together! The babies had a blast as well! Brady enjoyed swinging and Riley was walking ALL over the place and climbing on things. It made me realize that in a few short months Brady will be doing that too. (which made me a bit sad). Fun was had by all! I am so glad that we got to meet up with them. We always have so much fun when we are together, it is just getting together with all of our busy schedules that is the challenge.

Lynn and I

Even the guys had fun!

Parade Season here we come!!!

Brady's First Parade

We have managed to make it to 2 parades this weekend. On Sunday we headed to Theresa for one parade. Eric's buddy from college and his wife were walking in the parade and we thought it would be fun to go and see them. This happened to be Brady's first parade! He enjoyed it as much as a 5 month can enjoy a parade, but he sure did LOVE the fire trucks! This parade turned out to be super exciting for the adults. Where we were standing a few feet back from us a fight broke out. The police had to clear the parade and make room for the ambulance to come through. The guy had blood all over his face and so I tried really hard to keep Morgin focused on what was coming next so that she wouldn't see the DRAMA behind us. This worked really well -because she did not see a thing! Eric and Mark were really interested in what was going though, so I got the run down from Eric on the way home!

The second parade was in Sackets on Monday (today). This was a VERY SMALL parade, nothing like the parade that we attended last year in Sackets. Morgin was pretty disappointed but she had fun none the less.

Never mind

Well after looking in the paper and seeing the price of rent for decent places in the city of Watertown we have decided that we are better off keeping our house and saving that way....boooo!

Video Time!!!

Morgin has been learning how to spell her name and so we made up a song for her to remember it! She was saying M-o-q-r-g-i-n. I think she was saying q because q-r-s-t..... So now she has it!

Brady just loves to jump!!! He has sooo much fun in his jumperoo!

BFF

Morgin and AvaBrady and Owen
Morgin and Ava

The fourth grade teacher in my building and I went to high school together and I actually graduated with her husband. She has a daughter that is exactly 1 month younger than Morgin named Ava. She also has a 1 year son named Owen. We have been talking about getting the kids together to play since September. Well today was the day that our schedules finally hooked up! We were going to go to Kidnastics but I really wanted to be outside and we both thought that our kids needed some fresh air, so we decided to take the kids to the zoo. Morgin and Ava hit it off right off the back. The ran around and were inseparable! The even held hands through most of the zoo. (When Morgin wasn't busy picking "randilions") We were having such a great time that we decided afterwards to go to McDonald's for lunch and the girls played their little hearts out.

In the car on the way home from McDonald's, Morgin says to me, "Ava is my new best friend! I love her!" It was so cute! Janelle and I vowed to do this more often because all Ava could talk about was Morgin!

Mother's Day Craft

So I decided that for Mother's Day we were going to make every rocking mother and grandmother a frame with the kids picture in it. Morgin painted the frames and helped me put the letters on them. They turned out great! Morgin was so proud of them that she made me drive around on Saturday and deliver a couple!

He can do it!!! (already!)

Why is that Brady is growing up so fast! I told him he needs to be my baby forever....he just won't listen!

Brady now has 2 teeth!

He can also sit on his own! He does good until he tries to grab at something and then he topples over but he can do it!

Rock Star!!!

Here is the conversation between Morgin and I a few days ago.....

m: "Hey Mommy look at me!"

Me: "You look great!"

M: "That's because I am a ROCK STAR!! and I am famous!"

Me: "I am sure you will be famous someday!"
Where does she come up with these things???

Starting him out young!

He looks so darn cute!

I think we may....

The new talk is that we are going to put our house up on the market in the next few weeks and hopefully (fingers crossed) sell it soon! Then we are going to rent for a year or so to save up a ton of money! Then we are going to buy a new house that has everything we want/need.

Here is what we want in a new house....
1. A garage
2. A basement that is finished/can be finished.
3. At least 3 bedrooms
4. AT least 2 bathrooms
5. A HUGE LAWN!!!!!!

Here is the new plan....let's see if I can let go my control and see if it really happens!

It is here!!!!

My Double stroller has arrived!!!!! I was so excited that I called my father in law to come over with his truck so that I could go get it! Eric was at work and it was a super nice day Sunday and I didn't want to miss out on the good weather! When I got home my father in law was very generous and he put it together for me and even blew up the tires for us! We went for a LONG walk that night and I have to say that the city sidewalks are nothing now! The thing goes over all of the bumps without any problems!

On another note.... we sold the other double stroller tonight!
