Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the day that we take Brady back for a recheck for the 5th time since Brady first got sick in December! I am going to be a not so nice Mommy and demand that they send him to pediatric pulmonologist in Syracuse. I have done research and found one..I have the card and phone number and all the doctor has to do is write a referral and send it for us!

I feel so bad for Brady...There is no reason that he has to go through this for months on end and something has to give! He wheezes and has a hard time breathing all the time! The doctor has put him on a higher dose of the nebulizer treatment...and it has not helped. I feel like the kid has a nebulizer to his face all day. It is no way for him to live. I am confident that the doctor will do as I ask...I have had no problems at all with her. This just brings back horrible memories of when Morgin was little and being told by a doctor (which we do not go to anymore) that I was being over protective. My theory is that my job as Mom is be an advocate for my kids and do what needs to be done to keep them safe and healthy...and that is what I am going to be doing tomorrow! Wish me luck~

The History of My Necklace

I don't know if anyone reading my blog has ever noticed that I wear the same necklace all day everyday. This necklace was given to me by Eric for Christmas 1998. We had been dating for almost 2 months at that point. It was a huge surprise to me. We had exchanged our gifts with each other and I thought we were all done! He had gotten me LOTS of things and I was very thankful for all the stuff! Then it was time for him to leave and we said our goodbyes and he left. I went upstairs to my room and there on my pillow was another gift. My mom, sister and friend Heather (she lived us for about 6 months at that time) came into the room because apparently he had told them about it. I opened it up and was instantly in love (with the necklace and Eric!) This was before cellphones, so I tried to call him and of course he was not home yet! I decided that I wanted to thank him in person and so I jumped in my car and drove to his apartment!

Ever since that day I have been wearing it except about 4 months after that Christmas. I was in high school at this time. I was in English 12 class and I remember it like it was yesterday....I started taking off my jewelry because i had gym after this class. I reached up and noticed it was not on my neck. I started panicing. I looked on the floor...no necklace. I searched everything I had until my teacher stopped reading A Midsummer's Night Dream and asked me if I was ok. I told her what happened and she let me go look for the necklace in the class I had before...no necklace. I searched the whole school and never found the necklace. After school I drove to Boces and searched my class there...no necklace. I was devastated and so I called Eric at work and told him the bad news. The next day at Boces, I was called down to the office and they handed me the necklace. They had found it outside by the buses and the chain had broken. I got a new heavier chain that night and this necklace has been on everyday since! I did not however have it on for our wedding! It was sewen into my bouquet. It has been with us when our children were born and is a very important part of who I am and I love it very much!

My Newest Obsession!

Since Christmas Vacation, I have been going to Zumba. I go anywhere it is. I have been to the Fairgrounds YMCA, Downtown YMCA, and Sacred Heart. It has quickly become my newest obsession! I try to go 3 times a week ( depends on Eric's schedule and kids getting sick) Since I have started going I feel great! I feel like I have more energy and I LOVE IT!

It's Famous!

Here is my painting that is now hanging in the bathroom above the washer and dryer

My grandmother got me the aboove really beautiful painting for Christmas. I loved it and made Eric hang it up immediately! The other day we switched the TV to CMT to see if Morgin could dance to "her song" and it came on in a few minutes and Eric noticed that my painting was in the video! How neat!

Look behind Taylor Swift...there it is!

Happy Birthday Uncle Justin!!!

Happy Birthday to my Brother in Law, Justin! Hope you have a great day! We love you!

The Dangers of a Metal Roof!!!

On Thursday night, all night long long I heard crash, bang, boom as the snow fell off the roof. At one point the ice fell so hard that it shook the house. If look closely you can see a dent in the lower roof from the ice! I had parked my car way away and thought (Eric was at work) that Eric's truck would be ok. Well I was sadly mistaken. I should have moved the truck! I didn't notice anything when I left for work but the second I pulled in the driveway after school...I saw something new on the truck. It would be a big dent and damage from ice falling off the roof and landing on the car! Oh Well...just another bump in the road!

Uncle Chris and Morgin Playing Wii
Lyndsey and Josh

Tonight, we had my 2 brothers and my sister and her husband over for dinner. It was a wonderful evening. We had a great dinner, played some Wii and played with the kids. It was so great to have all of my siblings in 1 house. We reminisced and talked about the future. It was a great night but when everyone left I burst into tears. It was a night that I had been waiting for since the fight with my father in 2000. I missed the boys so much and am so glad that we were able to do this! It is kind of bitter sweet because Chris will be leaving for the Coast Guard in February and Lyndsey and Justin will be moving to Texas in May. But that does not matter...we will always be siblings! LIFE IS GOOD!

Stages

As my children grow and change I find myself saying, "I like this stage." and wondering what is to come next. Here is a run down of the stages that the kids are in now.

Morgin:

At this stage, Morgin is a sponge. She absorbs so much information all day. She is catching on to things quickly. Morgin is very independent. She enjoys doing things on her own and becomes extremely proud of herself. She really enjoys picking out her own clothes and putting them on herself. She loves to play games and especially loves her ABC games. A real negative of the stage that Morgin is now is how mouthy she is. She told me one day that she was going to call the cops on me because I asked her to pick up her toy. She is quick on her feet!

As with every stage that she has been in...I really like this stage!

Brady:

Brady is at a stage where he is VERY curious. He likes to try out things. He will grab an object and turn it over and inspect it to see how it works. He is very good at walking and has now moved on to RUNNING! He is a running fool! It is so stinking cute! He is still a cuddle bug (I hope it stays that way FOREVER) and LOVES to read books with Mommy and Daddy. A negative of this stage is that he is teething! I just wish the dumb molars would pop through so he can get some relief! Poor baby! Brady is all off of bottles and is pro at drinking out of a sippy cup.

As with every stage that he has been in...I really like this stage!!!

Can't wait to see what "stage" is coming next for both kids!

Christmas Vacation in Review

December 23rd- Right after school I headed home to do our Christmas Eve festivities and traditions. We read the kids Christmas stories and put cookies and milk out for Santa. After the kids were in bed, we started to bring down all of the gifts that we bought the kids.

December 24th- We woke up and all of our family came over to watch the kids open their presents. We had a HUGE breakfast cooked by Eric and his Dad. It was a great time! We all relaxed and the kids had time to play with all of their new toys. It was kind of nice to stay home all day and not have to rush to get here and there in between naps. That evening we headed to Eric's Grandma Clarks house for the annual Christmas Eve dinner and holiday celebration. It is really amazing that we can fit that many people into her tiny house and not a person complains about it! Then we headed home and put the babies to bed and Eric and I watched The Christmas Story (a Christmas Eve tradition!)

December 25th- Eric headed to work and me and the kids hung out until Uncle Guido stopped by. We played Yahtzee Jr with Uncle Guido and then had to get the kids ready to go to the Island for Christmas with my grandparents. We ate lunch and opened more presents. After we headed to my Dad's parents house and got to see Nana and Papa and my brothers. It was great to see everyone. Then we headed home to give the kids a nap. While Brady was sleeping, Daddy came home. Then we packed the kids up and headed over to my mom's for our Christmas Celebration with Mom, Lynz and Justin. We ate dinner and opened more presents. (all I can say is that our kids are truly spoiled rotten!!)

December 26th- Eric worked again! I had a relaxing day with the kids. We went shopping at the mall because the money I received was burning a hole in my pocket! I bought some clothes and was very happy to have some new things to wear!

December 27th- We had a relaxing family day at home! The kids played with their new toys and had a blast with all of them.

December 28th- We were supposed to go to Utica to celebrate Christmas with the Stevens but they had to go and get pink eye! So we went to my sisters house to see her inlaws from Colorado. They were in complete shock when they saw Brady. Last year at this time he was on 2 weeks old and lets just say he looks way different than he did then!

December 29th- We stayed home and relaxed. The kids played with their toys and we hung out and watched movies!

December 30th- We cleaned the house. Then the Mandigo's came over for a pre New Years Celebration since Eric had to work. We had lots of snacks and Pizza and wings. We introduced the Mandigo's to the world of Wii and they loved it! We had a great time and the kid played AWESOME together!

December 31st- Eric went to work. The kids and I met Janelle and her kids for lunch. Bryan was working too so we decided to have the kids get together and play! It was a great time! I hung out with the kids. They went to bed and I watched a really bad movie. Then I went to bed and was awoken at 2:00 am by Brady. I was up most the night with him. People were loud and obnoxious outside again. It was a very interesting New Years for me to say the least! I just wish Brady would get the damn molars soon! Poor guy is having a hard time cutting them through!

January 1st- Eric is still working. I hung out with the kids. Morgin went to dinner and a movie with my Mom. I took Brady to get some stuff from Target and the little man and I hung out!

Januray 2nd- We get a text at 7:00am that Jamie is in the hospital having contractions and she is 6 weeks early! They attempt to stop the contractions, which worked until they took her off the medicine. Eric and I went to dinner and a movie. We ate at Texas Roadhouse and we ate like champs! Then we headed to the mall to go see The Blind Side. That was a great movie! Thanks Mom for watching the kids for us!

January 3rd- No plans! Just waiting to see what happens with the baby. Probably going to hang out the hospital and wait to see what happens with Jamie and Jaydence. I am super excited to be an aunt...but I want Jaydence to wait to come until she has had a chance to have her lungs develop so that we can snuggle with her!

Overall this was a very relaxing vacation! I am ready to head back to work to get back into the swing of things again! As my friend Shalaina pointed out...Only 14 more weeks until April Vacation..hahaha! (Honestly I am can't wait for February vacation first!)
