My Thoughts for The Month of March

GOOD BYE....I AM NOT SAD TO SEE YOU GO!

April...here we come! Lots of fun and exciting things coming our way!

Tomorrow...Brady is getting his 2nd set of tubes in 4 months and I have a 4 day weekend! WHOOO HOOO!

Morgin and the Boo-Boo

A few weeks ago, Morgin got a cut on her upper arm while she was playing. It was bleeding pretty badly and so I washed it up and put a Ni-Ho Kylan band-aide on it. That was a week or so ago and I had to take the band-aide off in the middle of night and replace it with a new one so she wouldn't know. Well last night I had enough of fighting with her about the bandaide and ripped it off. She cried for a bit and then that was enough...she was over it.

She went to bed and about a 1/2 hour later I hear her coming down the stairs. Here is the conversation that we had....

Me: "Morgin what is the matter?"

Morgin: "I have to show you something"

Me: "Make it quick..." She comes around the chair and says..

Morgin: " Look my boo-boo fell off" (the scab)

Me: "Yup it did...lets go back to bed."

Morgin: " But where did it go?"

Me: "I don't know?"

Morgin: "Did it run away?" (With her fingers..she is pretending to walk)

Me: "I think so!"

Morgin: " It ran away, out the door and into the road and got bumped by a car"

Me: "That is funny! Lets go back to bed...Good night.. I love you"

Morgin: " Good night Mommy....Don't let my boo-boo get you!"

Very Sad

It was a very sad night in our house with lots of tears. My sister and brother in law come over to say goodbye to us. We all lost it when we had to put the kids to bed. I just keep thinking...She is coming back up in June for her baby shower which I get to through! And I already bought my ticket for September 17th!

I wish them all the best on this new journey they are headed on but am feeling a bit selfish and wanting her to stay!

On Sunday, we headed out to Utica for Kaedin's 6th Birthday party. She had it at a place called Rough and Tumble. It is very similar to Velocity...only WAYYYY better! They had 3 bouncy houses and a huge climbing gym. Morgin and Kaedin had a blast together and Morgin and Kaedin's friends got along well too! It was a great party! I can't believe Kaed's is 6 already! I remember babysitting her for a week during the summer when Mike and Lynn's babysitter took a vacation. She was 4 months old at the time and I really feel like her and I bonded that week. She definitely holds a very special place in my heart! I can't wait until the 2nd weekend in April...Kaedin is coming to spend the whole weekend with us!

When we went over to our friends house last week, the guys were talking about wanting a Four-Wheeler to plow the driveway and during the last snow storm our 1971 snow blower finally bit the dust. On Monday after my Staff Development day, I drove Eric up to look at them. He was a little apprehensive about getting it but since we decided to stay at our house until the Nitro is paid off, I told Eric that we might as well do it. When they showed us the used one they had, we just knew that it was for us! Then they told us the price and all of the extras and then we definitely knew! So we went yesterday and paid for it and then had to find a way to get it home! We called a friend and he came and helped us and now it is in our yard! We bought an Artic Cat 650! It came with a winch, a plow, a gun do-hickie that I already made Eric take off and a seat on the back for me! I am so happy with our decision! I cannot wait for April 10th now!

Visit from my longest friend

This week I got some sad news from my friend Andie-Lin. Her grandfather passed away on Monday and she told me that she would be coming from Arizona for the services. I am glad that she made time to come and see us! The last time I saw her was 2004! She came over Friday afternoon and we hung out with us. I took her to visit my school, and we went out to eat at Art's. We had a great time talking about all of the trouble we used to get into! It was a great evening! I am sad that she lives so far away...but what I can say is that when we do get together it is always fun!

2nd Set of Tubes

We took Brady to his ENT appointment and the doctor decided that he needs new tubes called Duralast...They should last longer for him! His surgery was scheduled for next Thursday! I am relieved they are doing it so quickly!

Tonight we went out to eat with my sister and BIL. She chose Friendly's because she has this weird aversion to steak...it makes her sick. So went to dinner and had great conversation! I am really going to miss my little sister more than anything! But I already bought my plane ticket to Texas for after the baby is born! They leave on Monday for the 3 day drive to Texas. Eric is going to help them pack up the truck tomorrow...sniff, sniff, tear, tear!

This weekend is going to be CRAZY busy...we have 2 birthday parties, and doing Easter a week early with my family!

This weekend we were invited over to Eric's friends house for dinner. Before we left, Morgin grabbed one of the ceramic art projects that we did earlier in the day and decided that she was going to give it to "her new friend" She put the figure in her coat pocket and kept her hand on it the entire way to their house. When we got there Morgin ran up to her and gave her it. Olivia carried it around the whole night! It was so cute! Morgin and Olivia really hit it off and played so well together! When we got home, Morgin asked if Olivia could come spend the night..that is how much fun she had! I am glad that Morgin has a little girl to play with! They screamed and ran and just had a blast together!

It is NEVER ending!

I wonder if I will ever get to the bottom of all this laundry! I feel like I finish putting everything away and then there are 4 more loads to put away! Does any body have a system that they use that would help me with all of this mess???

Happy St. Pats Day!

I love St. Patrick's Day....I even buy all of us St. Pats day t-shirts every year. I put green ribbon in Morgin's hair and we all dress in green! I had this vision of a cute picture of all of us dressed in our matching shirts and smiling.....Well, Brady messed his diaper and it went all the way up his back and so his shirt was dirty and Morgin spilled her chocolate milk down the front of her and so her shirt was dirty too! So the best pic I could get is this...NOTHING! Oh well! Next year!

Funny Morgin Story

Yesterday, we were all sitting around the table eating dinner and this is this is the converstation between Morgs and I....

Morgin: "Mommy, Jesus died and he is not coming back to us"

Me: "Yes, Morgin, Jesus died"

Morgin: "He died and the Easter bunny is going to wake him up."

Me: "You think the Easter Bunny is going to wake Jesus?"

Morgin: "Yeah (attitude)......That's what Mrs. Puccia said"

I left it alone at that point....I was laughing too hard! If only I could protray her attitude..>She was like...duh??? Mrs. Puccia said it and you are dumb if you didn't know that mom!


I can't wait to tell her teacher in the morning...I think she will get a kick out of it!

We are enjoying this weather so much! Bike rides, walks after school, and going to the zoo! I can't wait! I am hoping that it stays this way for a LONG time!

I am in complete shock at how many words Brady knows already, when Morgin was his age she couldn't hear...so she didn't talk! Today we went for a walk and every time a car went buy us he would say, "CAR!" it was so cute! In his vocabulary as well is, "cat, Dad, Sis, ball, boo and personal favorite, Mom! yup....not Mama..but Mom!

Brady went to the doctors again today, his left ear is now infected! Only 10 more days until his appointment with ENT! I can't wait! I am going to be pushing for them to put the tubes back in and this time to use bigger ones because what they did last time didn't work!

Black Cloud

I have often wondered if people are born with a black cloud over their head? I feel that certain people in my family have definitely had a black cloud following them for quite sometime.....Then I began to wonder if that so called black cloud is passed down from generation to generation?

I have decided that I am going to end the cycle of bad luck! I am going paint that black cloud a pretty pink! No more bad luck for me or my family! We refuse to go through life with a black cloud over our heads! Only good can happen from now on!

Brady's First Real Trip to Velocity

Last week, My sister and brother in law took the kids to Velocity. This is the first time Brady has gone and been able to explore. Last year he was just a baby! I guess he was quite the climber! He really had a great time and took an AWESOME nap afterwards! In just 2 short weeks my sister and BIL will be packing up a truck and heading to Texas. It is very sad...but now we have a place to visit! I will be heading down to Texas in September...after the baby is born!

We went and visited our niece this morning! She is 10 lbs already! Brady didn't want anything to do with her....She didn't want to have anything to do with him either! She is getting so big! We will be sad to see her(and Jamie and Ty) move to Washington State=(

True to Form!

Just an update on Morgin.....She refused to take the medicine AGAIN! This time she told me that she wasn't going to take it again because her applesauce tasted weird! WHAT A KID!

Medicine Saga

A few weeks ago we took Morgin to the doctor for the cough that she had for 6 weeks....yes six weeks! He diagnosed her with a sinus infection and sent us on our way with a prescription in hand! When we got home with the medication, Morgin refused to take it...

We tried bribery...If you take it I will buy you a new part for your Zhu-Zhu pet... DIDN"T WORK!

We tried reasoning with her...if you take the medicine your cough will go away and you can sleep better....DIDN'T WORK!

We tried making her watch her brother take his medicine..Look Brady is such a big boy...he takes his medicine......DIDN"T WORK!

We tried mixing it in her juice....Drink up Morgin!..>>SHE spit it out at us......DIDN'T WORK!

We tried mixing it in chocolate milk, applesauce and yogurt....NOTHING WORKED!!!

Finally WE gave up!!!

Well today, we took her back to the doctor and he gave us chewable medication...

We get home from pharmacy and and super excited to try it with her....She puts her little tongue out and licks the pill....not even getting a taste of it and says "NOPE!"

I am about ready to scream at that point...then she asks for applesauce! MY IN...I think!

I crush up the pill...put it in the applesauce and spoon feed my 4 year old the applesauce....She ate the whole cup of applesauce! VICTORY.....I think!

When I put her to bed...Here is the conversation that we have

Morgin: "Mommy, I know you put my medicine in the applesauce."

Me: "what makes you think that?"

Morgin: "I saw it in there"

Me: "Ohhh...did it taste good?"

Morgin: "Not really...I just took it so you wouldn't put it in my milk anymore!"

Me: "So from now on, I can put it in your applesauce?"

Morgin: "Nope that was only for today...I think I don't like it anymore"

WHAT A STINKER!!!

New Bike

When we went for our walk the other day, Eric and I realized that our baby girl is getting so big and has outgrown her bike! So last night, we went out and bought her a new bike! (Thanks Thirty-One!) Eric put it together after Morgin went to bed last night annd when she woke up this morning she was over joyed to see it sitting in the playroom! So today I rushed home from school and picked the kids up and out we went for our walk. Morgin did sooooo much better on her new bike! I am so LOVING this weather!!!!

American Idol

Usually I am an American Idol freak....I watch the show, read the website and talk about it at school with the custodian...This season I am having a really hard time getting into it. I don't know if it is because the competition sucks or if it is because it is not the same anymore! I do miss Paula a little bit...I just can't put my finger on it!

Teeth and More Teeth!!

Well, We have been battling the dreaded molars for....ohhh like 3 months! Finally, Brady has a molar! He has the lower left molar now and when I looked tonight...the eye tooth right next to the molar has also come in! Now I hope the rest pop threw as quickly and quietly as the first molar did!

On another note, Brady has been doing sooooooo much better since we stopped giving him any dairy at all. His breathing is better...but not 100%. We were supposed to go to the pulmonologist on March 18th but we received a letter yesterday that said his appointment was rescheduled for APRIL 13TH.....sense the frustration in my typing....I AM SO UPSET! We have waited for 2 months already to get some answers about his breathing issues and to be pushed off for 5 more weeks is even more frustrating! We called and they have no opening between now and then! So we will wait out our time and hope and pray that he doesn't get sick in the mean time!

On Sunday, Morgin and I went ice skating with Wyatt and Tresea. The boys hung out at the Mandigo's house and played with the babies. Brady and Owen were playing really well together! It was fun to finally get Brady together with a child his age...all of the other kids we are around are older than him and don;t want to have anything to do with him.

The first time I took Morgin ice skating, i got her hockey skates and I had a hard time tightening the laces and the effect was that she had spaghetti legs! This time I opted to get her figure skates and I am so glad that I did. This time she did amazing and even got all the way around the rink without the walker! She was a 1,000 times better than the first time she went skating! I hope to take her 1 more time before spring!

On Saturday, Eric's cousin Heather and her family came over for dinner. The girls got along great and it was so a great time. The girls played sword fight on the Wii and had a great time! It was a great evening and we can't wait to do it again soon!

First Walk of the Year

We headed out for our first walk today! The sun was shining and I couldn't stand being inside anymore so we took Brady and Morgin out for a walk. Morgin rode her bike and if you watched closely the training wheels weren't even touching the ground most of the time! They will be coming off soon! Brady LOVED the walk....true to Brady form! The only thing that would settle him down during his cranky time last year was to be outside and walking so that is what I did for hours at night! It was a great walk and so can't wait for the weather to warm up even more so we can enjoy the outdoors again! Only 14 more days until SPRING!!! WHOOO HOOOO!

On Thursday, Eric took Morgin to Syracuse to see Nick Story time Live! They had great seats! They were in row A of the mezzanine. I bought the tickets for them for Christmas and am glad that I did! They had a great time and all Morgin could talk about is the show! She loved it!!!
