Christmas Parade

Eric has to work the 4 days in a row so I am trying to keep myself busy while he is gone. Today I met up with a friend from HS and we went to the Christmas parade in Watertown. We had a great time chatting and the kids had an even better time throwing snowballs at us! The parade was better than it was in the past!

Black Friday 2010

This year I went out for the 2nd year with a good friend. We started our morning at 3:45 and headed to Target. This was the most comical part of our morning! People had been waiting in line since 7:30pm the night before...and I think the lack of sleep was affecting their judgement! They were yelling and screaming to people that were waiting to get in..telling them that the line began back there and that they were cutters (I am not going to admit it but maybe we were one of the cutter that said crazy dudes were yelling at). We ended up getting in and out of Target with our pretty much everything on our list! It was wonderful! We then headed to Walmart and got almost everything on our lists there too! Then we headed to Kmart and got lots of good deals! Our next stop was the mall. We got lots of great deals there too! Gap had the entire store 50% off and we took full advantage of that! Then we headed out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel! It was a great day and I was home by 8:45AM! Pretty soon I will be headed up to take a nap! I always have such great time on Black Friday...partly because I have no expectations and if I get something great but if not...it was not meant to be! Can't wait for next year!

Morgin's friends party was Sunday. We had 20 kids come and it was so much fun!!! We had it at the Fairgrounds YMCA and it was a Gymnastics party. Morgin had old friends, school friends and new friends there to help her celebrate her 5th birthday! We played for an hour in the gymnastics room. The hit of the party was the foam pit. Even BIG KIDS had fun (ie..DAD's) We then did pizza and cake and gifts in the party room. Great times with great people!!!

We decided that we would take Morgin out to eat to Texas Roadhouse so she could sit on the saddle and have everyone give her a "Yee-Haw" Morgin was so excited that when the waitress came to our table she asked if she could do it then. The waitress told her after she ate she could sit on the saddle. I don't think that Morgin realized that the people around us would be looking at her..and the waitress would be shouting..because she hopped right up on the saddle like it was nothing and when the waitress started yelling she instantly jumped down and hid her face in my mom's hair! Her face was priceless as you can see from the picture above! We had a great dinner and an even better day! I still can't believe that she is 5!! Where does the time go?

The Cake

This year we had a family party as we always do but it was VERY bitter sweet because both of Morgin's aunts and uncles and cousins weren't here! We got creative and Skyped with Lyndsey and Justin and Bryson so that they could see her open her presents! It was just like they were here! We still missed Jamie and Ty so much though! Morgin had a great time opening her presents from us, Brady, Papa and Dee and Go-Go. She was in heaven! True to Morgin form she hid when we sang happy birthday to her! It was a great little party!

Today our little girl turns 5! It is completely surreal for me! I cannot believe how fast time flies! This past year has been a major learning year for Morgin. She has learned so much and grown a ton! She still weighs only 36 pounds but is so tall! She is so smart! She learns so easily and it makes me so proud! She easily makes friends and has a heart of gold!

Happy Birthday to the most Amazing Little Girl I know! You are our miracle baby and we are so thankful that we were chosen to be your parents!

Pertussis

Well we have been exposed! I guess that is a risk I take in my profession. We are going to be tested tomorrow and to get our antibiotics! I am hopeful it will be negative...but ya never know!

We scored some awesome tickets for a Syracuse basketball game (Thanks KSP!) We headed Syracuse after I got of school and went to Tully's for dinner. Then we headed to the dome and we had a wonderful date in Syracuse!Our seats were near the band and cheerleaders so the energy was AWESOME!!! I was exhausted at work today and I am sure Eric was too since we didn't get home until 11 and he had to be up at 3! It was worth it though! We had a great time!

Is it really November??

Saturday the weather was AMAZING! We took full advantage and spent most of the day outside! We played on the playground, played in the leaves and Eric was able to get the plow on the four wheeler! I am pretty surprised by the weather but am really enjoying it!
