Skype

Since we bought a new lap top, we made my sister and Justin sign up for Skype. The kids absolutely LOVE it! I do too! It is so cool to be able to see Lyndsey's baby bump. Morgin has asked me if we can call Aunt Lyndsey every day since we first Skyped. This the GREATEST tool on the Internet! It will come in handy when Bryson is born as well! YAY FOR SKYPE!!!!

It's Back!!!

After a long drawn out process....WE HAVE OUR FOUR WHEELER BACK!! After we took the wheeler out on a Poker Run on May 1st the wheeler broke down. We were told that it was the engine and that it was blown by FX Caprara. We headed up the Attorney Generals office and handed in statements from our friends and the paperwork from Caprara's. The attorney general was able to do nothing for us. So we bit the bullet and picked it up from Caprara's because they couldn't do an engine rebuild for a few more months because they were so busy. SO we picked it up and dropped it off to S&M Motors on Bradley St. They had the wheeler for 2 days and then they called us and said we were very lucky because the engine was not blown as FX Caprara's had told us but it was an $80.00 part! It ended up being a belt and sensor! We got it back on Friday after Eric got home from work. Eric and Brad took it out on Sunday and it ran GREAT! We are relieved that we have it back and are thankful for small favors!

Sligar After Party

Erica and I

The Men...waiting for their turn at Texas Horse Shoes
After the softball tournament we went home and had dinner with the kids and then Grandma came over and stayed with the kids so we could go to the after party at Blair's house. We played beer pong and Texas horseshoes. Then after we went back to Brad's parents and went swimming and played cards. We were up until 3 am! Good thing we stayed the night there is all I have to say about that! It was a lot of fun!

The Challenge Breakfast, Eric had!

This how much he ate...whimp! (LOL)

The next morning we (very slowly) got up and went to breakfast before we went home. Eric order the "Challenge" breakfast....he had no idea that meant that the pancakes were HUGE! He did not meet the challenge! That's ok...maybe next time!

Sligar Memorial Softball Tournament

Eric's "Batting" Helmet (hehehe)

Us
On Saturday, Eric was in a softball tournament in Carthage. Chris Sligar was a teacher who died 3 years ago. Erica and a few of her friends have established a scholarship in his name for a young person who plans to enter education. They have to write an essay and that is how they determine the winner. The softball tournament is the biggest fund raiser for the scholarship and Eric was more than willing to help out and have a little fun playing softball! I watched a few games and then helped with concession stand. It was a great day! Eric's team was the first eliminated but they had a great time anyway!

Jill's Bridal Shower

My friend Jill from school is getting married next week and so I was in charge of the bridal shower. We decided to do it at my friend Barb's house and it went really well. Jill and her fiance Jim were adamant that no one get them gifts for the shower and/or wedding and they listed a few charities for the guests to make a donation to. It was hard to think of to do at the shower if there was not going to be any gift opening. One of the charities that she listed was the Branson House in Carthage. It is a home for unwed/young mothers. So I thought why not make a donation to the Charity by having guests bring a baby gift to be opened at the shower and then donated to the House. It turned out AWESOME! So you will see that it is a bridal shower but she is opening baby gifts!

New Computer!

Can-AM Parade

We went to the Can-Am parade on Saturday and had a blast! Erica's aunt and uncle own a house right across from the gazebo and so we sat down there.Normally we would sit up further and I am glad we went down there. All of the bands were performing right in front of us and the kids loved it! I got to soak up some sun rays and ended up adding to my tan...on my feet! It was a great day!

Storytime

I decided that this summer I was going to sign both kiddos up for story time at the library. Thursday was Brady's day for story time and he enjoyed it! He ran around and was well kind of just like Morgin was at that age. I was a bit frustrated because he never had done anything like that before but we managed and he enjoyed himself. When I got home I figured out why he misbehaved....he had gotten his 18 month shots the day before and not feeling the greatest..We will try again in a few weeks. (we have plans for this Thursday!) I didn't get a chance to get a picture of him because he not very happy!

Morgin went to her story time on Friday and I have to give props to Miss Ginger at the library...she did a great story time where they got to talk about objects and the kids got to guess whether they would sink or float. Morgin and I had done this at home with lots of things so she was a pro! Then after they did the experiment they got to make a cool little toy and she sent them home to see if it would sink or float! It was a great time and Morgin was AWESOME!

Jeff County Fair

Tuesday we headed to the fair because yet again Brad was marching in the parade for the fire department. It is a tradition that Eric gets the guys laughing when they walk by (they have to be stoic), so true to form Eric had Brad laughing from the sidelines! The kids were really good, so we decided to stay for some rides and games. The clouds in the sky looked very omnious but we stayed anyway. We got poured on! We were DRENCHED! Brad was of course pickeing on me because I had on a white shirt...not a wise desicion when it was forcasted for rain! I kept begging him to take off his fire fighter shirt so I had something to cover up with...which he would not! We had a great time and Morgin got to ride a few rides and was very happy! Brady loved the rain and laughed hysterically as we ran to the cars! It was another adventure!

29th Birthday Surprise

On Friday, I turned 29! I had a idea that Eric was trying to get people together for a dinner to celebrate my birthday. That morning though I thought I was completely wrong as Erica came over with a cake and said that Eric had invited them out to dinner but because Brad had to work late that they would not be able to make it so she came over to have lunch with me instead. So we had our lunch and cake and then later that afternoon took Brady-Boy to get his hair cut and my mom volunteered to take the kids so we could go out to eat. So we couldn't decide where to go and we narrowed it down to either Foxy's or Ryan's Lookout. We flipped a coin and it landed on Foxy's. So we did a little shopping and then headed to Foxy's. The entire time Brad and Erica were texting me telling me that Brad was on his way to Syracuse with another load to drop off and that Erica was at home playing with Eva. We finally get to Foxy's and I walk in and start to send Brad a text and I look up and standing right next to me was Brad and Erica! I was so excited that they surprised me. Then in walks Chad and Stephanie and my friend Becky. We all get to the table and I notice a lot more chairs than what we needed. Then my friend Jill and her fiance Jim walk in! It was a HUGE surprise! I really had thought that it was going to be just Eric and I for dinner! I had so much fun at dinner! Thank you Eric and Erica for throwing this all together! It made my day! Pictures to come...my battery died in my camera and so the only pics that we have are the ones that Erica took! I will borrow her camera and download ASAP!

Prayer Request

In February, My grandfather on my mother's side was diagnosed with stage 3 bladder cancer. Since then he has been going through chemo therapy. He has lost his appetite (which they say is a side effect of this type of chemo) and lost 30 pounds in the process. Last week, he went to his regularly scheduled chemo appointment and the nurse said he looked awful and before they were going to do the chemo he had to see the doctor. The doctor ordered some more tests and then discovered that the cancer has gone from stage 3 to stage 4 even with the chemo. They discontinued all chemo. Please pray for him as he needs all the prayers he can get at this point in time.

In June, my grandfather on my father's side was diagnosed with lung cancer. He will be going through chemo and radiation for 7 weeks. It will be a long road for him and my grandmother but he is one strong dude and he can beat this. Please pray for him as well.

It MUST Run in the Family!

A while back (see Januray 22, 2009 blog) I blogged about how Morgin and Eric and Eric's Dad, Brent all had this problem....now it looks like Brady-Man has inherited it! POOR KID!

Long Memory

On Memorial Day, we went to Brad's parents house for a swim. I didn't bring my bathing suit so I sat on the side of the pool with my feet in the water. well Brad thought it would be funny to soak me. When I say soak I mean I might as well have jumped in the pool because I was so wet. I told him that day that I would get him back, somehow, someway when he least expected it. Well at the BBQ i found my perfect opportunity! Well the guys were playing horse shoes I went to the Nitro and made a whipped cream pie. Just whipped cream in a pie crust! I walked up behind him and totally got him! It was perfect! But the problem now is that I have to watch my back because I know he will get me back when I least expect it!

On the 4th we headed over to Brad and Erica's for a BBQ. They had super yummy pulled pork and pasta salad. We brought a yummy apple dessert and chicken wing dip. We had a great time! The kids played in the pool and water table, the adults played with the kids and talked. We got to meet some really nice people! After dinner, Brad took me on a motorcycle ride into Watertown to bring dinner to Brady's Godfather, Mike because he had to work and couldn't come. Eric and Erica played with the kids. When we got back we did sparklers! The kids loved them!

Never a Dull Moment....

Hahahaha...
Here is how it landed!

Erica's mess

She got Eric back Though!

When we hang out with the Russell's! A few weeks ago we had them over for dinner and Brad kept running his mouth so when we were making sundaes for the kids I sprayed him with whipped cream..... well..........that started a WHIPPED CREAM WAR! (IN MY HOUSE!!) It was fun but the clean up sucked! It was a great time though so it was worth it!

Finally did it....

I have been saying to Eric since Morgin was born that I thought she would look super cute in one of those tye-dyed dresses. Every time I saw them I would himed and hawed and never end up purchasing it because it was $20 for a dress and I couldn't justify that in my head. Well I decided that in May I busted my butt with Thirty-One and I was going to buy her one....so I DID! Boy am I glad that I did. She looks sooooo stinking cute in it!!!

Lyndsey's Baby Shower

Lyndsey came home last weekend and we threw her a shower for baby Bryson. I had it at the Ramada Inn and it was wonderful! She had all of her closest friends and family there to celebrate the baby! We even had a plan on how to get all the goodies back to Texas.....She brought only a small suitcase for her stuff. She took my BIG suit case back with her to Texas with all of her baby stuff. When I go in September to see the baby I will just put my little suitcase inside the bigger when I come home. I was so sad to see her leave and the worse part was that Morgin cried from the airport to Toys'r'us! It killed me to see my little girl so upset that her aunt left! But the good news is...................Lyndsey is moving back here in February with the baby! Justin is being deployed to Iraq in Feb and she didn't want to be alone with the baby!

Millich Golf Tournament

On saturday June 19th, Eric and his buddies went to the Milllich golf tournament. While they were there Erica and I took the kiddos to the zoo. Here are somepics from that day....sorry so late! I left my laptop at school because it needs updates and such and I just got it back!
