My friend Jill from school is getting married next week and so I was in charge of the bridal shower. We decided to do it at my friend Barb's house and it went really well. Jill and her fiance Jim were adamant that no one get them gifts for the shower and/or wedding and they listed a few charities for the guests to make a donation to. It was hard to think of to do at the shower if there was not going to be any gift opening. One of the charities that she listed was the Branson House in Carthage. It is a home for unwed/young mothers. So I thought why not make a donation to the Charity by having guests bring a baby gift to be opened at the shower and then donated to the House. It turned out AWESOME! So you will see that it is a bridal shower but she is opening baby gifts!
