At church this morning I was quite inspired (which I am most Sunday's but today was different.) The topic was the name of this post.
Here it goes!
When we come to forks in the road, most people (including me) take the open, well lit easier road versus the narrow, shaded and harder road. We all too often take the easier road in life, the road that leads us to destruction. We point out the wrongs of everyone else and blame them for our mistakes. When what we really should be doing is taking a good hard look inside ourselves. It brought to mind my job. Parents all too often when their child is called on the carpet for something will most often defend their child and place the blame on someone else. "Yes, Joey punched Louie, but Louie called Joey a pencil head first." These parents are the first ones to be in the principals office complaining about another child, the teacher(s), basically everyone but their child! We want to blame everyone else for our own faults. We need to make the right choices for ourselves and stop putting the blame on everyone else. If Joey punched Louie than we love need to love our child(ren) enough to tell them that what they did was wrong and teach them to accept ownership over their actions. (The harder road...loving our loved ones enough to tell them no) Make it right!! If you see a loved one heading down the wrong road, love them enough to tell them that what they are doing is wrong instead of making excuses for them.
There are two roads in life today...the easy and the hard....MANY will choose the wrong path...the easy way...:-(
What path will you choose?????
I know what path I am choosing to take!!
"and that has made all the difference"
"and that has made all the difference"
