Co-Pays and more Co-pays!

This past week we have been to the doctor more times than I can count. Last week, on Wednesday I took a half day and took both kids to the doctor. Morgin was coughing and Brady had started to cough. I thought I would get right on top of Brady and get him taken care of before he got really bad. Well, they gave Morgin an antibiotic and said that Brady should fight it off. On Friday, I picked Brady up from the sitters and he sounded horrible. So I decided to take him in before the weekend to get him checked out again. They say he has bronciolis and put him on a nebulizer. Well it is Friday at 5:30- and there is no way that I can get a nebulizer this late in the game. I called my friend Jen and borrowed hers! Thank God we have friends that have supplies! We give him the treatments all day Saturday and Sunday, he sounds completely worse! He was wheezing and just not having an easy time breathing. We decided to take him in again. They up his nebulizer treatments, get a chest x-ray and send us on our way. (If you count that is 4 co-pays already!- Not including Eric's from his procedure on Saturday! so that would make 5!). They want to see him the office on Monday for a re-check, so Eric takes him to the doctor again on Monday! Wednesday comes around and he is still not getting any better in fact his cough sounds like croup now. So we take him to the on-call doctor and she gives a shot of dexatron. HE is doing much better but we are headed back to the doctor this Am for a re-check. So if you add it all up Brady has been to the doctor 7 times in the last 10 days! Eric has been 2 times and Morgin has been 1 time! That is 10 co-pays at $18 a pop! I am not complaining though because at least they getting healthy again and are getting top rate treatment!

I think I'm going to start an insurance company as my get rich scheme. It seems like they take you for all you're worth!

We should all move to Canada where healthcare is free.
