This morning, Brady, Morgin and I were playing on the floor and Brady leaned forward to grab a toy and he fell on top of it and immediately started screaming. I flipped him over and there was blood everywhere! I scooped him up and took him into the bathroom and examined the situation and realized that it was no normal cut or scrap. I called the pediatrician and they recommend that I take him to the ER. So I call my mom to watch Morgin and no answer...call my mother in law....no answer....so I racked my brain and the only one I could think of was Christina Hatch..She is 13 and right up the street and really good with Morgin. So I called her mom and she said drop her off! Brady and I were off! We got in really quickly and by that point the bleeding had slowed down considerably. They examined him and noticed the same thing I had that the flap of skin that connects his upper lip to his gums had been severed. They called ENT and they recommend that he be seen in the next day or so and that sometimes these need to be repaired surgically.
Lets pray that he does not need surgery!!! He ate a bottle and seemed ok. The swelling has gone down quite a bit. Right now he is sleeping and I am waiting for a nurse from ENT to call me back for the second time.
It is amazing to me how strong I can be when needed. I had to keep Morgin calm because she started to scream and cry that her brother was bleeding so I had to distract her and at the same time try and calm Brady down. After all was said and done and we had gotten home, my mom came over and watched the kids while Brady slept so that I could go and get Formula because I was completely out!! In the car on the way to Target....I cried my eyes out! This warranted a call to the prison...which is always a pain in the butt!!

Doesn't this always happen to you when Eric is out of town? Please keep me posted, the poor little guy has been through so much! I hope he is alright!

Aww! It sounds like you handled it perfectly. I hope he's ok. The good thing is if he gets stitches he won't remember since he's so young.
