Medicine Saga

A few weeks ago we took Morgin to the doctor for the cough that she had for 6 weeks....yes six weeks! He diagnosed her with a sinus infection and sent us on our way with a prescription in hand! When we got home with the medication, Morgin refused to take it...

We tried bribery...If you take it I will buy you a new part for your Zhu-Zhu pet... DIDN"T WORK!

We tried reasoning with her...if you take the medicine your cough will go away and you can sleep better....DIDN'T WORK!

We tried making her watch her brother take his medicine..Look Brady is such a big boy...he takes his medicine......DIDN"T WORK!

We tried mixing it in her juice....Drink up Morgin!..>>SHE spit it out at us......DIDN'T WORK!

We tried mixing it in chocolate milk, applesauce and yogurt....NOTHING WORKED!!!

Finally WE gave up!!!

Well today, we took her back to the doctor and he gave us chewable medication...

We get home from pharmacy and and super excited to try it with her....She puts her little tongue out and licks the pill....not even getting a taste of it and says "NOPE!"

I am about ready to scream at that point...then she asks for applesauce! MY IN...I think!

I crush up the pill...put it in the applesauce and spoon feed my 4 year old the applesauce....She ate the whole cup of applesauce! VICTORY.....I think!

When I put her to bed...Here is the conversation that we have

Morgin: "Mommy, I know you put my medicine in the applesauce."

Me: "what makes you think that?"

Morgin: "I saw it in there"

Me: "Ohhh...did it taste good?"

Morgin: "Not really...I just took it so you wouldn't put it in my milk anymore!"

Me: "So from now on, I can put it in your applesauce?"

Morgin: "Nope that was only for today...I think I don't like it anymore"

WHAT A STINKER!!!
