December 23rd- Right after school I headed home to do our Christmas Eve festivities and traditions. We read the kids Christmas stories and put cookies and milk out for Santa. After the kids were in bed, we started to bring down all of the gifts that we bought the kids.
December 24th- We woke up and all of our family came over to watch the kids open their presents. We had a HUGE breakfast cooked by Eric and his Dad. It was a great time! We all relaxed and the kids had time to play with all of their new toys. It was kind of nice to stay home all day and not have to rush to get here and there in between naps. That evening we headed to Eric's Grandma Clarks house for the annual Christmas Eve dinner and holiday celebration. It is really amazing that we can fit that many people into her tiny house and not a person complains about it! Then we headed home and put the babies to bed and Eric and I watched The Christmas Story (a Christmas Eve tradition!)
December 25th- Eric headed to work and me and the kids hung out until Uncle Guido stopped by. We played Yahtzee Jr with Uncle Guido and then had to get the kids ready to go to the Island for Christmas with my grandparents. We ate lunch and opened more presents. After we headed to my Dad's parents house and got to see Nana and Papa and my brothers. It was great to see everyone. Then we headed home to give the kids a nap. While Brady was sleeping, Daddy came home. Then we packed the kids up and headed over to my mom's for our Christmas Celebration with Mom, Lynz and Justin. We ate dinner and opened more presents. (all I can say is that our kids are truly spoiled rotten!!)
December 26th- Eric worked again! I had a relaxing day with the kids. We went shopping at the mall because the money I received was burning a hole in my pocket! I bought some clothes and was very happy to have some new things to wear!
December 27th- We had a relaxing family day at home! The kids played with their new toys and had a blast with all of them.
December 28th- We were supposed to go to Utica to celebrate Christmas with the Stevens but they had to go and get pink eye! So we went to my sisters house to see her inlaws from Colorado. They were in complete shock when they saw Brady. Last year at this time he was on 2 weeks old and lets just say he looks way different than he did then!
December 29th- We stayed home and relaxed. The kids played with their toys and we hung out and watched movies!
December 30th- We cleaned the house. Then the Mandigo's came over for a pre New Years Celebration since Eric had to work. We had lots of snacks and Pizza and wings. We introduced the Mandigo's to the world of Wii and they loved it! We had a great time and the kid played AWESOME together!
December 31st- Eric went to work. The kids and I met Janelle and her kids for lunch. Bryan was working too so we decided to have the kids get together and play! It was a great time! I hung out with the kids. They went to bed and I watched a really bad movie. Then I went to bed and was awoken at 2:00 am by Brady. I was up most the night with him. People were loud and obnoxious outside again. It was a very interesting New Years for me to say the least! I just wish Brady would get the damn molars soon! Poor guy is having a hard time cutting them through!
January 1st- Eric is still working. I hung out with the kids. Morgin went to dinner and a movie with my Mom. I took Brady to get some stuff from Target and the little man and I hung out!
Januray 2nd- We get a text at 7:00am that Jamie is in the hospital having contractions and she is 6 weeks early! They attempt to stop the contractions, which worked until they took her off the medicine. Eric and I went to dinner and a movie. We ate at Texas Roadhouse and we ate like champs! Then we headed to the mall to go see The Blind Side. That was a great movie! Thanks Mom for watching the kids for us!
January 3rd- No plans! Just waiting to see what happens with the baby. Probably going to hang out the hospital and wait to see what happens with Jamie and Jaydence. I am super excited to be an aunt...but I want Jaydence to wait to come until she has had a chance to have her lungs develop so that we can snuggle with her!
Overall this was a very relaxing vacation! I am ready to head back to work to get back into the swing of things again! As my friend Shalaina pointed out...Only 14 more weeks until April Vacation..hahaha! (Honestly I am can't wait for February vacation first!)
